It was the first oil export to Vietman according to the agreement reached between the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) and PetroVietnam Company.
According to the agreement, SOCAR will supply 65 thousand barrel of oil to Vietnam in August and BP will also export same volume of oil crude. The imported crude will be mixed with oil produced in Bach HO field in the southern Vietnam during the refinery process.
SOCAR and PetroVietnam signed a memorandum of cooperation on April 8 and then SOCARâ€s trading company for Asian countries SOCAR Trading Singapore signed a long-term agreement with PetroVietnam on sale of Azerbaijani oil crude to Vietnam.
