Azerbaijani president particiapted in the opening ceremony of “Akkord†Group of Companies’ Marble-Granite Plant
Participating in the opening ceremony of the plant Ilham Aliyev firstly got acquainted with the modern exhibition hall where the various paterns of marble-granite products, made in Iran, Norway, Brazil, Turkey, India, Italy and other countries, were exhibited. Then the president visited the shop and pushed the button indicating to the launching of the production process, monthly production capacity of the shop makes up 70 thousand square meters of the granite bulk.
Owner of "Akkord» Group of Companies Ilgar Hajiyev said that besides meeting the demands of the local market as well as company’s own demand, the processed product at the same time is planned to be exported as well. He also said that for the purpose of producing high quality products, the technical indicators of the factory machines are equipped with the automated management, besides it for the purpose of protection the ecology of the plant, the water treatment systems were set up at all workshops.
I. Hajiyev especially stressed that the company has now 2 marble quarries in Ağlay, Bej marble quarry in Turkey, granite quarry in Ukraine. Accoridng to the development plan of 2009 – 2010, the company constructed new production areas and service management buildings, meeting to the European standards, in the territory of Granite-marble factory. The building consist of Ağlay shop – 2.3 thousand sq. m., granite shop – 1.480 thousand sq. m., marble shop – 1,030 thousand sq. m., paving block workshop – 640 sq. m., three-storey administrative building – 1.050 thousand sq. m., new three-storey exhibition hall – 860 sq. m., etc. besides it, a two-storey dining room for employees, 470 sq. m., was built. Totally more than 200 people factory are permanently employed in the plant and stone quarries.
