â€œThe government of India set its proposals to the government of Azerbaijan for purchase of oil crudeâ€.

Ambassador Shaw said the government of India intended to sign a long-term agreement with Azerbaijan to purchase oil crude. â€œAzerbaijan-India trade turnover was $2 billion in 2008. The largest part of this agreement is related to oil purchase. In 2009, trade turnover was reduced to $322 million. It was $261 million until May, 2010. We are looking forward to boost trade turnover between the two countriesâ€.
