Oil transportation via trunk pipelines slides, gas transportation rises in Azerbaijan

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev â€“ APA-Economics. Azerbaijan transported 23.9 mln tonnes oil via trunk pipelines in January-June, 2010, down 3.65 compared with a year earlier.

State Statistical Committee says the 76% of transportation was implemented via Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline and Azerbaijan transported 18.2 mln tonnes oil via this pipeline, down 2.1% compared with January-June, 2009.

At the same time, the trunk pipelines transported 9 bln cubic meters gas, up 3.4% compared with the same period of 2009. 29.6% of this was implemented by Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum pipeline and this pipeline transported 2.7 bln cubic meters gas, down 6.9% from a year earlier.
