Egyptian Oil Minister meets with SOCAR president

Baku. Elnur Huseynguluyev â€“ APA-Economics. SOCAR president Rovnag Abdullayev met with Egyptian delegation led by Oil Minister Sameh Fahmi, today.

SOCAR president spoke about development of the friendship and cooperation relations between Azerbaijan and Egypt. According to him such meetings give opportunities tgo establish the relations at high level: â€œThese countries can collaborate in oil and gas production, geological explorations and other spheres. There are necessary potentials and opportunities for it.â€

S. Fahmi noted that Azerbaijan has ancient history of oil industry and this visit will be as a road map in extending of relations with Azerbaijan. He also emphasized that, Egypt doubled the oil production in last 5 years.

64 new fields were found in Egypt last year. There are oil-gas companies of 50 countries in Egypt. According to S. Fahmi Azerbaijan will join them.
