Egypt’s Oil Minister meets with Azerbaijani Energy Minister

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev – APA-Economics. Egypt’s Oil Minister Sameh Fahmi met with Azerbaijan’s Minister of Industry and Energy Natig Aliyev.

Natig Aliyev spoke about the current relations between two countries and noted that Azerbaijan and Egypt collaborate mainly in oil sphere. So that, Azerbaijan’s crude is processed in Egypt and transported to African Countries.

He also noted that Azerbaijan and Egypt have mutual interests: “We may collaborate in oil and gas production, geological exploration, apply of new technologies and other spheres. We have necessary potentials and opportunities.”

In term, Sameh Fahmi noted that, Azerbaijan and Egypt can accelerate the development in the both countries with the realization of mutual experience exchanges in oil-gas sphere. According to him, Egypt doubled the oil production during the last 5 years. “I also appreciate the development of Azerbaijan’s oil-gas sector in last 5 years. There are oil and gas companies of 50 countries in Egypt. I hope that, Azerbaijan will joint these companies.”

Besides, S. Fahmi said that, Azerbaijan and Egypt may also collaborate in education sector in oil sphere.
