SOCAR and BP have lack of consensus on Shah Deniz-2 project

Baku. NIjat Mustafayev – APA-Economics. State Oil Company of Azerbaijan and BP Company have lack of consensus on the Shah Deniz-2 project, SOCAR vice-president Khoshbakht Yusifzadeh told APA.

According to him, BP plan to drill 30 wells on the framework of Shah Deniz -2 project. Gas will be brought to platform via subsea pipeline, then will be tranferred to compressor stations. BP will start this works in 2016. The production will be reached 16 bln cubic meters from 2016, 29 bln cubic meters in 2029. This number was not approved yet.

SOCAR’s variant is consisting of 2 parts. It plans to drill wells in shallow part (200 m, 350-400m). Two platforms will be constructed. Each of these platforms will has 11 wells.
