AzBTC Executive Director Ilham Nasirov: â€œKazakhstan will restore the oil transportation via Baku-Ceyhan pipeline, soonâ€

According to him, Kazakhstan will restore transportation of oil, which produced in Tengiz field, via Baku-Ceyhan pipeline, soon. This will be possible after the talks about the transportation, volume and transportation prices of oil between the sides.

The Tengizshevroy operation company stopped the oil transportation via BTC pipeline deal with increasing of transportation prices.

There are two prices for oil transportation via BTC. One of them is the companies who are the participants of BTC and the other is the companies who implements only transportation vial pipeline.

The distance of the BTC pipeline is 1 769 km.

Azerbaijan transported 50.5 mln ton oil via main pipelines in 2009, up 13.7$ compared with 2008. According to State Statistical Committee, the Â¾ part of transportation was implemented via BTC and 38.2 million ton oil was transported via this pipeline, last year.

The shareholders of BTC are: Â«BP-AzerbaijanÂ» (30,1%), AzBTC (25%), Â«ChevronÂ» (8,9%), Â«StatoilÂ» (8,71%), TPAO (6,53%), ENÄ° (5%), Â«TotalÂ» (5%), Â«ItochuÂ» (3,4%), Â«InpexÂ» (2,5%), Â«ConocoPhillipsÂ» (2,5%) vÉ™ Â«HessÂ» (2,36%)
