Minister of Industry and Energy Natig Aliyev: â€œShah Deniz will produce 8 bln cubic meters natural gas, this yearâ€

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev â€“ APA-Economics. The Shah Deniz structure in Azerbaijan Sector of Caspian Sea is expected to produce 8 bln cubic meters natural gas, during 2010, Minister of Industry and Energy Natig Aliyev told in the 17 th International Oil and Gas Exhibition.

He spoke about economic development of country and said that GDPâ€™s growth was 20-30% during last 5 years.

Azerbaijan produced 50.4 mln ton oil in 2009, up 3 mln ton compared with 2008. and achieved record index. Oil production is expected to 52.8 mln ton, this year.

Shah Deniz structure is expected to produce 8 bln cubic meters natural gas and 6.3 bln cubic meters of this will be transported to Turkey, 1 bln cubic meter to Russia, 0.3 bln cubic meter to Georgia and 0.1 bln cubic meter to Iran, said Minister.

According to him, Azerbaijan and Turkey will come into agreement about gas prices, recently.

The he spoke about Nabucco and noted that, Azerbaijan is interested in the realization of this project and transportation of Azerbaijani gas to Europe.
