Baku. Rashad Suleymanov – APA-Economics. Azerbaijan based DHT Metal JV steel company is planning to open a new steel foundry on February 19, said SteelOrbis based on the company.
Another plant, expected to be opened on March by DHT Metal JV, will produce reinforcements with diameters from 8 mm to 40 mm and other construction materials. The company is planning to sell its products in local market and export to Iran, Georgia, Iraq and Turkey.
The company is in operation in Azerbaijan since 1995 and already has a plant in Baku. It is the first steel producer applying TSE ISO 9001-2008 standards. The company produces 150 000 tones of production annually, and will reach 300 000 tones with the new plant.
