Azerbaijan increases its gold production up to 21.6%

APA, quoting the foreign press, reports that the general executive director of “Anglo-Asian Mining Company”, president of Azerbaijan International Mine Operation Company Rza Vaziri said.
According to R. Vaziri, in January “Gedebey” gold ore has increased gold production from 2 863 up to 3 483 ounces.
It should be noted, in “Gedebey” ore gold production was launched in July, 2009. Up to present 14 848 ounces of the gold have been produced.
R. Vaziri also noted that the company plans to increase gold production in 2010. Till July of the current year the company intends to increase gold production up to 25 000 ounces.
We remind, AIMOC participates in the Deal of Output Share. According to the contact, signed for 30 years, Azerbaijan’s share is 51%, Great Britain “Anglo-Asian Mining Plc.” – 49%. The contract stipulates 6 gold fields for exploitation. One of the fields is situated in Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, 1 – Tovuz, 1 – Gedebey, and 3 fields are in the occupied lands (Kelbejer, “Soyudlu”, (Zod), Agdere “Gizilbulag”, and Zangilan “Vajnali” gold fields).
According to the deal, the company intends to output 400 tons of the gold, 2500 tons of the silver and 1.5 mln. tons of the cooper.
