Azerbaijan’s new cement plant to create 500 jobs

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev - APA-ECONOMICS. Azerbaijan’s largest cement plant in the region is expected to employ 500 people after constructed, said Murad Sadikhov, Development and Strategy Manager of Norm Company.
According to him, the company will involve nearly 950 people in the construction of the cement plant in Garadagh district of Baku.
After the plant is commissioned, 450-500 permanent jobs will be created," he added.
Murad Sadikhov noted that construction of the plant will be launched in April 2010 and will be commissioned in May 2012.
Annual production capacity will be 2 million tons at the first stage, with expansion to 6 million tons in the future.
