Azerbaijani Minister of Industry and Energy visits United Kingdom

Baku- APA. Minister of Industry and Energy of Azerbaijan Natig Aliyev was on a working visit to the United Kingdom on January 27-28, Azerbaijani embassy in London told APA. The minister attended the conference on the role of Azerbaijan and Turkey in the energy security organized by the Conservative Friends of Turkey (CFT), the group associated with the British Conservative Party, at the Chatham House, the Royal Institute of International Affairs.

Member of the British parliament, international spokesman for the Conservative Party Lord Howell, business people, representatives of the Azerbaijani and Turkish companies, journalists, as well as representatives of the energy consulting companies attended the conference.

Natig Aliyev focused attention on the special role of oil and gas projects carried out with the participation of Azerbaijan in the European energy security and emphasized the steps taken towards diversification of energy routes. He informed about the reforms in the countryâ€™s energy sector and opportunities for use of alternative energy sources.

Natig Aliyev met with the director general of the Department of Energy and Climate Change Will Cavendish during the visit.
