Expert group lays groundwork for Batumi Energy Summit

Baku. Viktoriya Dementieva - APA. In anticipation of the Batumi Energy Summit to be held on January 14, an international export group met in Tbilisi to discuss the draft text of the summit declaration.

As the summit website reports, representatives from Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, the EU and the U.S. discussed the text of the Declaration on the Development of the Southern Corridor on January 11.

On January 12, representatives from Azerbaijan, Ukraine, Lithuania, Poland, Georgia and Kazakhstan met to discuss the draft Declaration on Euro-Asian Oil Transportation Corridor to be adopted at the summit.

According to a list posted on the website, Azerbaijan was represented in the meeting by Rauf Hasanov, representative of the Ministry of Industry and Energy, Vitaly Beylarbeyov, assistant vice-president of SOCAR, as well as representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Azerbaijani embassy in Georgia.
