Azerbaijan sells 36 million tons of crude from Ceyhan in 2009

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev – APA-Economics. 2.8 million tonnes of oil were sailed to world markets from Turkey’s Ceyhan Port during December 2009, said SOCAR.
According to the company, in total 36 million tonnes of oil were sent to world markets from Ceyhan port during the full year of 2009.
From the launch of the BTC pipeline in June 2006 to January 1, 2010, in total 104.7 million tonnes of Azeri Light crude oil were sent to world markets from Ceyhan port.
The BTC Co. shareholders are: BP (30.1%); AzBTC (25.00%); Chevron (8.90%); StatoilHydro (8.71%); TPAO (6.53%); ENI (5.00%); Total (5.00%), Itochu (3.40%); INPEX (2.50%), ConocoPhillips (2.50%) and Hess (2.36%).
