Batumi Energy Summit to adopt a declaration on South Stream project

Georgian Energy Minister Alexander Khetaguri told APA’s correspondent in Georgia that the summit will focus on a number of topical issues including transportation of Caspian energy resources to Western states, activities of Sarmatia consortium etc.

A declaration on the South Stream project will be adopted during the event.

He added that the summit will be attended by presidents of nine countries, as well as official delegations from several countries. The confirmed participants are Azerbaijan, Georgia, Turkey, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Poland, Lithuania, Hungary, and Romania.

A working group of representatives of participating countries will prepare the agenda of the summit in Tbilisi on January 12-13.
