Second gas pipeline from Turkmenistan to Iran inaugurated

Baku. Suleyman Farzaliyev â€“ APA. Dovletabad - Sarahs - Hangeran gas pipeline linking Turkmenistan and Iran was inaugurated on January 6. APA reports quoting Farsnews that President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow and Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad also participated in the inauguration. Representatives of foreign embassies in Ashgabat, Turkish Minister for Energy and Natural Resources Taner Yildiz and other officials attended the opening of the second gas pipeline from Turkmenistan to Iran.

Dovletabad - Sarahs - Hangeran gas pipeline is highly appreciated in terms of development of Turkmenistan-Iran relations, regional economic-commercial relations, expansion of bilateral and multilateral partnership opportunities, reinforcement of mutual understanding and energy security.

Dovletabad - Sarahs - Hangeran pipeline will make it possible to bring the volume of natural gas supplies from Turkmenistan to Iran up to 20 billion cubic meters annually.
