Azerbaijan Tariff Council sets crude oil wholesale and transportation rates

Existing wholesale price of crude oil was set taking the transportation rate into account. By the decision of the Tariff Council, as the crude oil transportation belongs to natural monopolistic activity, existing wholesale price of crude oil was set 53,6 manat for per tonne of oil (without VAT), and transportation rate was set 2,6 manat for per tonne of oil (without VAT).

Based of the Councilâ€™s decision, names of 3 products (cocks products) in pricing schedule were changed and one was taken out of the schedule according to new standards approved by the State Committee on Standardization, Metrology and Patents for oil products.

Connection (monthly usage) tariffs to AzStateNet optic network were also reviewed and new tariffs were set at the meeting of the Tariff Council. According to the decision, monthly usage fee of symmetric digital port for local connection is 250 manat for 10 mb/s Ethernet port, 400 manat for 100 mb/s Ethernet port, 280 manat for 2 mb/s El port, 170 manat for 2 mb/s xDSL port.

Moreover, price of Health Ministryâ€™s medical examination card for obligatory groups was set 8 manat for one card by the decision of the Council.

New tariffs will become in force as of January 1, 2010.
