SOCAR opens culture center in Pirallahi

On Saturday, the Social Development Office of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) opened a culture center named after famous jazzman Vagif Mustafazadeh at the Pirallahi Island near Baku, APA reports. SOCAR president Rovnag Abdullayev attended the opening ceremony.

The culture centerâ€™s building constructed in 1937 was in the balance of Absheronneft Oil and Gas Exploration Office, but it was handed over to the balance of SOCARâ€™s Social Development office in 2006. The center was reconstructed last year by SOCAR, which provided it with a new library, reading room and nearly 20 000 books.

SOCAR president also participated in the renovation and greenery planting events in a number of places in Baku on Saturday.
