Azerbaijan Ministry of Defense Industryâ€™s staff marks professional holiday - <font color=red>PHOTOSESSION</font>

Baku. Rashad Suleymanov - APA-ECONOMICS. Azerbaijanâ€™s Ministry of Defense Industry hosted a celebration on the professional holiday of its staff.

The event was attended by the staff of all units of the ministry, as well as Lieutenant-General Vahid Aliyev, assistant to the President of Azerbaijan on security and defense issues.

Minister of Defense Industry Yaver Jamalov said that the ministry has gained many achievements since its inception in 2005.

"The main task of our ministry is to reduce dependence on imported defense-oriented products. Under the personal supervision of the Head of State, we have already made great strides,â€ he added.

Yavar Jamalov noted that work on the reconstruction of the defense industry and procurement of modern equipment has continued to progress.

"The restoration of production enterprises also means the creation of new jobs. We have special programs. we have procured hundreds of new machines, modernized old equipment, upgraded 21 enterprises over the past 3 years,â€ he added.

Then, the distinguished members of the Ministry and its subordinate enterprises were presented with awards.

The Ministry staff also visited Heydar Aliyev’s grave and the Alley of Martyrs.
