Tender announced for gold feasibility study in Azerbaijan

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev â€“ APA-Economics. Azerbaijan International Mineral Resources Operating Co (AIMRO), the operating company for a number of hardrock gold exploration projects in Azerbaijan, has called a tender performance of a pre-feasibility study for the development of the Chovdar deposit.

Work on the study will begin in February and be rounded off in July 2010. A bankable study should be ready in December 2010. Interested parties have to submit bids by January 26.

The final study shall be completed by December 2010.

Under a 30-year agreement with the Government of Azerbaijan signed on December 30, 2006, the participants interests are was Azerbaijan (30%) and a consortium of 5 companies (70%) (Londex Resources SA, Will and Meyris SA, Fargate Mining Corporation, Globex Ä°nternational LLP. And Mitsui Development Engineering Co. Ltd .).
