Azerbaijan exports 3.2 million tons of crude through Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan in Oct

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev – APA-Economics. 3.2 million tonnes of oil was pumped abroad through Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) Pipeline during October, said SOCAR.

According to the company, in total 30.5 million tonnes of oil were exported through this route in January-October.

Since the launch of the BTC pipeline, 100.8 million tonnes of Azeri Light crude oil was exported through the pipeline.

Besides, 187 300 tonnes of Kazakh oil flowed through the pipeline in October and 1.9 million tons during January-November.

3.3 million tonnes of oil was sent to world markets from Turkey’s Port of Ceyhan in October. This figure was 30.7 million tonnes for January-October, and 99.05 million tonnes for the period since the launch of pipeline.

The BTC Co. shareholders are: BP (30.1%); AzBTC (25.00%); Chevron (8.90%); StatoilHydro (8.71%); TPAO (6.53%); ENI (5.00%); Total (5.00%), Itochu (3.40%); INPEX (2.50%), ConocoPhillips (2.50%) and Hess (2.36%).
