Greek Agency for Alternative and Renewable Energy to perform a pilot project in Azerbaijan

Baku. Rashad Suleymanov - APA-ECONOMICS. Azerbaijanâ€™s Deputy Minister of Industry and Energy Gulmammad Javadov has met with the Greek Ambassador to Azerbaijan Ioannis Metaxas.

The meeting mainly focused issues that will be included in the agenda of the meeting of the Azerbaijan-Greece Intergovernmental Committee.

Gulmammad Javadov emphasized the successful development of relations between the two countries in political, economic, humanitarian and other spheres.

The ambassador said that Greece has invested more than $20 billion in projects abroad.

According to him, Greece is ready to invest in Azerbaijan’s economy and contribute to the development of business ties between the two states.

I. Metaxas also said that Greece has enormous experience in the use of sources of alternative and renewable energy and head of the countryâ€™s national agency for alternative and renewable energy will travel to Baku.

An agreement is due to be signed on the implementation of a pilot project in Azerbaijan.
