Azerbaijan boosts oil and gas pumping in January-September

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev â€“ APA-Economics. In total 38 million tons of oil was pumped through Azerbaijanâ€™s network of pipelines in January-September, up 10.3% from a year ago.

The State Statistical Committee said the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan Pipeline (BTC) took 75.6% of oil transportation, pumping 28.7 million tons of oil from Azerbaijan to world markets, up 10.4% from a year ago.

Besides, 1.3 million tons of Kazakh oil flowed via the BTC Pipeline in January-September.

Also, 8.6 billion tons of natural gas was pumped via pipelines, up 6.7% from the same period last year.

Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum Pipeline took 3.8 billion tons of gas, up 11.7% from the same period last year.
