Azerbaijan, Iran and Russia work on energy systems synchronization

Baku. Rashad Suleymanov - APA-ECONOMICS. A working group of specialists from Azerbaijan, Iran and Russia are working on the synchronization of these countries’ energy systems, said Azerenergy’s President Etibar Pirverdiyev.


"From a technical point of view, it is easier to establish synchronization between Azerbaijan and Iran. As for Russia, there are problems with the infrastructure on the territory of Dagestan,” he added.

He also noted that the country currently exports electricity to Russia, and through Nakhchivan, to Turkey.
