Necessary work was done on the return and search of our military personnel who were captured and missing during the Patriotic War, and this activity is still being continued, said by the head of the State Security Service, chairman of the State Commission on Prisoners and Missing and Hostage Citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ali Nagiyev, APA reports.

According to Nagiyev, as a result of operational and urgent measures implemented by the commission in cooperation with the relevant state bodies and international institutions, it became clear that 12 of our servicemen were injured and taken prisoner during combat operations, and they were released and returned to the Motherland with the mediation of international organizations: "However, unfortunately, the fate of 6 of our servicemen is still unclear and the search process for them is currently being actively continued. We believe that the longing of their loved ones and family members will end soon and the fate of our servicemen will be clarified soon."
