Azerbaijani Deputy Foreign Minister Khalaf Khalafov and Turkmenistan’s Deputy Foreign Minister Khoshgaldi Babayev will chair the meeting. Spokesman for Foreign Ministry Khazar Ibrahim told APA that the delegation of Turkmenistan is already in Baku. The experts will discuss the issues on the legal status of the Caspian Sea, exchange views on delimitation of the Caspian sea-bed based on the median line approach and related legal documents will be investigated. The working group includes the representatives of Foreign Ministry, State Oil Company, Justice Ministry and other government agencies.
Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Russia reached an agreement on the legal status of the Caspian Sea and signed related documents. As there is divergence with Iran and Turkmenistan, bilateral talks are being carried out with these countries. Experts of five littoral states hold meeting twice a year. /APA/
