Novruz Mammadov: Priorities will not change in the course of Azerbaijanâ€™s foreign policy in 2008

Department head said that steps are intended to be taken in this direction in the program of foreign policy course to be implemented by the head of the state this year.
â€œClose cooperation with Western countries, deepening relations in the framework of international organizations, participating in all works as a regional leader and continuing foreign policy course is the main aim,â€ he said.
Department chief said that Azerbaijani President held about 30 meetings in Davos, Switzerland.
â€œPresident Ilham Aliyev met heads of state and government, Foreign Ministers, heads of the largest companies of the world and other officials. It was stressed that there is a great interest in the cooperation with Azerbaijan at the meetings. Many opinions on cooperation projects were sounded and there were several proposals at the meetings. There was establishment of oil refinery in Ukraine among them .I think that, it is difficult to speak about this now. Theoretical-practical, technical calculations should be carried out on these proposals and proper bodies should study the issue in detail. Then we can state our concrete opinion,â€ he said./APA/
