The issue on cooperation of neighboring countries was debated in the plenary session of Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, APA Europe bureau reports
Rafael Huseynov addressing the meeting said that normal relations are important to establish cooperation among neighboring countries.
“20 % of Azerbaijani lands are under occupation of Armenia for already 15 years. This fact was reflected in several documents of PACE, as well as in Resolution 1416 adopted on January 25, 2005.Armenia has not won anything from this occupation. Life standard is very low in the country and there is not any remarkable development in it. Occupation left Armenia uninvolved in international projects. Armenian colleagues support not substituting cooperation with conflicts. But it is impossible to cooperate and want assistance for Armenian’s economy from Azerbaijan which lands occupied by that country. We are interested in cooperation with all countries, as well as with Armenia. But this cooperation is possible after releasing of lands from occupation. I am sure that, close cooperation and mutual understanding between neighbor countries are short ways that served to the development and progress of countries,” he said.
