Pardon Commission under Azerbaijani President completes debates

â€œChairman of the Pardon Commission Ramiz Mehdiyev will possibly submit the list prepared as a result of the discussions to the president. But the chairman of the Pardon Commission may also bring us together,â€ he said.
Asked whether the imprisoned journalists have been included into the list made in the commission Vagif Samadoglu said:
â€œPardon decree is issued not due to professions, but due to the crimes. There are doctors, teachers, servicemen, policemen, workers, businessmen, as well as journalists among them. Mr. President will define to whom the pardon decree will be applied.â€
Member of the commission also said it is not known how many prisoners the pardon decree will be applied to.
â€œIt is in the presidentâ€™s competence. There may be over 100 or less prisoners in the list,â€ he said. /APA/
