Yevgeniya Jivkova: I do not know why Azerbaijani opposition does not consider me representative of authority

She stressed that she does not know why opposition thinks so.Co-rapporteur underlined that she has already got acquainted with the information on the situation in Azerbaijan.
â€œI want to talk to my counterpart Andres Herkel regarding it. I had no opportunity to meet him by now, I hope that we will be able to meet in the next session of PACE Monitoring Committee to be held in January. We will exchange views on present situation in Azerbaijan, date of our visit to this country, prepared report,â€ she said.
Yevgeniya Jivkova stressed that she will not be able to attend the meeting of PACE Monitoring Committee to be held on December 18.
â€œI have a lot of works to do in Sofia, moreover, issue regarding Azerbaijan will not be debated in the forthcoming meeting of PACE Monitoring Committee. That is why I will not be able to attend the meeting,â€ she said.
Ms. Jivkova commenting on the opinion on appointing special rapporteur on political prisoners in Azerbaijan said that it is only one of the proposals.
