Parliamentary Assembly of Black Sea Economic Cooperation Organization holds 30th session

30th session of Parliamentary Assembly (PA) of Black Sea Economic Cooperation Organization (BSECO) ended in Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia, APA reports quoting “Novosti-Gruziya” Agency.
Acting Parliament speaker of Georgia Mikhail Machavariani said in joint press conference dedicated to the outcomes of two-day meeting that they debated energy security in the framework of session and stressed significance of Black Sea region as alternative energy corridor for Europe.
Head of Azerbaijani delegation Asef Hajiyev touching upon importance of energy security spoke about significance of Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan, Baku-Tbilisi-Arzurum pipelines. He said that solution of “frozen conflicts” in the region is important for the implementation of energy projects.
Head of Armenian delegation Gagik Minasyan underlined that nuclear energy and hydro-energetic fields should be developed along with oil-gas projects.
Machavariani said that constant dialogue was carried out inside the organization.
Georgia handed BSEC PA chairmanship over to Greece. The next meeting will be held in Athens 6 months later. /APA/
