NISA winter session to be held in Baku

The event will be devoted to the theme â€œPeace operations in the Euro-Atlantic Area: challenges and perspectivesâ€.
NATO partnership program, Caucasian policy, principles and legal aspects of peace operations, NATO peace operations, conceptual approaches to notions peace and war, reforms of security sector in post-conflict societies, media and civil organizationsâ€™ role in peaceful processes, civil-military relations, problems and perspectives of peace operations will be discussed in the session, as well as familiarizing visit will be organized to peacekeeping tabor of Armed Forces. Experts from Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry, NATO, OSCE, Defense Academy of the United Kingdom, Copenhagen University, Marshal Center for European Security Issues, The Youth Atlantic Treaty Association (YATA) and free experts will deliver lectures in the winter session of NISA. Nearly 50 students, young scientific investigators and free experts from Azerbaijan, US, Germany, Belarus, Belgium, Czech Republic, Italy, Denmark, Egypt, Finland, France, Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Moldova, Netherlands, Russia, Slovenia, Turkey and Ukraine will participate in the event.
Azerbaijan deputy foreign minister Araz Azimov, NATO countriesâ€™ ambassadors to Baku, NATO Liaison Officer in the South Caucasus region Zbigniew Rybacki will participate in the opening ceremony of NISA winter session. NISA winter session is held at the support of Azerbaijan Foreign Ministry and expert and financial aid of NATO Public Diplomacy division. /APA/
