Baku State University confers Honorary Doctor on Iranian Parliament Chairman

The University rector Abel Maharramov introduced Golam-Ali Haddad Adel, saying he worked as a university teacher, deputy minister of education and knows English and Arabic.
He also added that 18,000 students are studying at 16 faculties of the University, of which 1,500 are foreigners from 20 countries.
â€œMore than 120 students are learning Persian in bachelor and master level. 26 teachers teach Persian at our university. We would like Azerbaijani language to be taught in Iranian universities,â€ he said.
Abel Maharramov announced that the Council has passed a decision to confer the Title of Honorary Doctor on Golam-Ali Haddad Adel. The guest was given a diploma, gown, badge and gifts.
Golam-Ali Haddad Adel expressed his gratitude, saying cooperation between Azerbaijan and Iran is at the high level.
â€œIran is always with Azerbaijan. Iran supports territorial integrity of Azerbaijan. I consider this title as the honor given to Tehran University and as a symbol of Azerbaijanâ€™s friendship relations towards Iran,â€ he noted. /APA/
