Georgian government dismissed, president nominates Lado Gurgenidze for the post of Prime Minister

APA Georgia bureau reports that the president announced the decision after the early meeting of the government and nominated 37-year old Lado Gurgenidze, the chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Bank of Georgia for the post of Prime Minister.
“The new composition of the government headed by Lado Gurgenidze will soon be submitted to the parliament for confirmation. I hope the parliament will soon confirm Lado Gurgenidze as head of the government. I gave instructions to new Prime Minister to double pensions and increase teachers’ salaries. One of the targets lying ahead of the new government is to solve the problem of unemployment,” he said.
Georgian mass media reports that former Prime Minister Zurab Nogaideli will be appointed chief of Managing Board of National Bank. The reasons of dismissal of Nogaideli’s government are unknown.
Levan Bejashvili head of parliament faction of the ruling party said that Nogaideli has been dismissed due to his health problems.
Georgian government is composed of Prime Minister, 13 ministers and 14 state ministers. /APA/
