American newspaper that published photos of children killed in Khojaly as so called Armenian genocide victims publishes corrections

Though media usually apologizes for the mistakes of newspapers, editor-in-chief of V Novom Svete newspaper, Mikhail Gusev published one page- article about Khojaly in todayâ€™s edition of publication, he apologizes for his mistakes. In the article under title ofâ€Like thisâ€ editor-in-chief quoted articles of American journalists, memories of Russian correspondents and soldiers who were at the scene of Khojaly massacre as saying: Khojali massacre was recognized the most terrible genocide in the US in 1992.Mikhail Gusev stated that the city was blockaded before attack, Russian 366 rifle regiment closely participated in this crime, most of the innocent people were killed by Armenians in â€œsafe corridorâ€. He stated that member of the US Lower House of Representatives Committee on International Relations, Congressman Dan Barton recently called on the Congress to recognize Khojaly genocide. Author citing Ilham Aliyev wrote that unless Azerbaijani 20 percent territories are not liberated, Armenia will not participate in any regional projects. He wrote:â€ If so-called Nagorno Karabakh Republic wants to achieve corridors through Armenia avoiding from Azerbaijan it will not achieve it.â€
Azerbaijani permanent representation to UN will hand a protest letter to newspaper V Novom Svete (In the New World), which published the photos of the children killed during Khojaly genocide as victims of the so-called Armenian genocide. First secretary of the permanent representation Ogtay Ismayilzadeh told the APA that they will take serious steps to prevent such situations in the country. All facts that reflected in the article â€œLike thisâ€ were presented to the newspaper by Azerbaijani permanent representation to UN.
Diplomat stated that Range of articles on Azerbaijanâ€™s realities are planned to be published in V Novom Svete newspaper./APA/
