Next subversion of Armenians exposed in Teleton Los-Angeles-Yerevan telebridge organized by Armenia Fund US – UPDATED
World Bank told the APA’s US bureau that information Armenians spread is false. Bank’s official stated that World Bank does not implement any project in the occupied Nagorno Karabakh.
“We recognize territorial integrity of Azerbaijan. If World Bank decides to carry out any restorations in that area after your regions are liberated, certainly we will want permission from official Baku,†they said.
World Bank said that they will make official statement after the issue is investigated. The officials of Millennium Challenge program and UNDP said the same word.
“We know that US do not support illegal activities carried out by Armenians and it recognizes territorial integrity of Azerbaijan. I do not believe that World Bank, UNDP and US Millennium Challenge program support this project,†spokesman for Azerbaijan Foreign Ministry Khazar Ibrahim said.
Mr. Ibrahim said that it is not bad that Armenians try to restore infrastructure they destructed.
“Nagorno Karabakh will be undoubtedly liberated and people will return there and use that infrastructure,†he said.
Azerbaijani MP Ganira Pashayeva said that that tele-marathon’s broadcast through American TV channels and introduction of the leader of separatists as “president†of the so-called “Nagorno Karabakh Republic†in this telebridge aims at legitimating it in American society.
“U.S. is a member of OSCE Minsk Group which recognizes territorial integrity of Azerbaijan and participates in the settlement of the conflict. The TV channels of this state should not establish condition for Armenians’ introducing separatist leader to society under “charity marathonâ€. If they do it, they will show that they do not respect principles of the state they are citizens of,†she said.
Azerbaijani MP said that Armenians try to legalize separatist organization by using thesis on spending fund collected from “charity marathon†to Taush region of Armenia and “Martuni region†of the so-called Nagorno Karabakh Republic.
Ms. Pashayeva stressed necessity of achieving friend communities not attending such events. She called to inform state bodies of Azerbaijan, Diaspora organizations, students studying abroad, all Diaspora organizations about the essence of the event and protest to it.
“We should inform friend Diaspora organizations about the essence of the event, dirty plans of Armenians. We should state that any Diaspora organization which participates in this event in any form will disrespect territorial integrity of Azerbaijan. We should also convey our protests to US TV channels which will broadcast this tele-marathon. I have already written about the essence of the event to several Diaspora organizations,†she said.
Ganira Pashayeva also said that Armenians damage the image of international organizations which they abuse and therefore those organziations should make official refutation. /APA/
