Organizing Committee of the rally, to be held in Baku on December 10, has first meeting

Organizing Committee of the rally that will be held on December 10, Human Rights Day on the initiative of the Defense Committee for imprisoned journalist Eynulla Fatullayev and Freedom of Expression today held the first meeting. APA reports that head of the Organizing Committee Eldar Namaxov said the preparations for the rally have already started. He said that â€œhuman rights protection monthâ€ will be held in Azerbaijan on occasion on Human Rights Day from November 10 till December 10.
Eldar Namazov said that he will appeal to Baku Mayorâ€™s office soon. The head of the committee noted that they want to hold the rally in one of the central squares of the city, but if Baku Mayorâ€™s Office recommends holding the rally in Ukrayna square, they will agree to it. Eldar Namazov said the composition of the Rally Committee will be made public soon.
Editor-in-chief of â€œYeni Musavatâ€ newspaper Rauf Arifoglu addressing the event proposed political partiesâ€™ representation in Rally Committee. ALP acting chief Avaz Temirkhan said that they will also support the event. Azerbaijani MP Panah Huseyn stated that members of Musavat group will support protest action.
It was decided in the Organizing Committee that the best original poster, slogan competition for rally day will be announced on December 10, and the winners will be awarded. The decisions were made on holding photo exhibition on the condition of human rights in Azerbaijan due to rally, and international conference dedicated to the protection of human rights is scheduled to be held in Baku on December 8-9.
The representatives of world mass media, diplomatic corps functioning in Azerbaijan are expected to participate in the protest action. /APA/
