Turkish President visits Ganja
Abdullah Gul visited Heydar Aliyev museum in Heydar Aliyev square and familiarized with photos and exhibits. Turkish President familiarized with Shah Abbas Mosque aged 400, visited Javad Khan Tomb, and got acquainted with Ancient Bathroom Complex.
Turkish President participated in the opening ceremony of Ganja branch of Open Joint Stock Company “Azeri-Turk Bankâ€. This is the regional centre of Open Joint Stock Company “Azeri-Turk Bankâ€. Abdullah Gul visited Azerbaijan Democratic Republic museum which is located in the building of Azerbaijan Agricultural Academy and familiarized with exhibits on activity of the first democratic republic in the East. Turkish President was given a lot of information about the activity of ADR which operated in the first years of its independence. After familiarizing with ADR museum, Abdullah Gul visited the headquarters of Nuru Pasha, commander of Caucasus Islamic Army who liberated Azerbaijan from the occupation of Armenian-Russian military union early last century. The exhibits are kept on activity of Nuru Pasha in Ganja in this building belonging to the Sheykhzamanovs. Turkish President visited Nizami Ganjavi’s Tomb. Abdullah Gul told journalists that he was satisfied with his visit to Ganja. This city changed a lot within past years and became beautiful and has got a beautiful airport. He stated that he was satisfied with his visit to well known Turkish poet Nizami Ganjavi’s Tomb. Moreover, Abdullah Gul’s official visit to Azerbaijan was ended. After getting acquainted with city, Turkish President returned to Turkey by special plane from Ganja airport./APA/
