Justice Party and Democrat Party are negotiating over uniting, APA reports quoting the sources in both parties. They say the sides met several times but there is still no concrete decision.
Chief of the Organizing Committee for Preparation for the Congress of Azerbaijan Democrat Party (ADP) Serdar Jalaloglu told the APA that there are efforts to unite with not only with Justice Party but with several other opposition parties as well. He said that corresponding decision will be made after the political processes intensify.
“There are only some efforts to reestablish the relations with Ilyas Ismayilov. We have never had problem in cooperation with Ilyas Ismayilov. He left ADP because of Rasul Guliyev’s behavior. Rasul Guliyev is no more in ADP and there is no problem in our cooperation,” he said.
Noting that it is too early to comment on the parties’ uniting Serdar Jalaloglu underlined that he does not want to say in advance.
“Political processes have not yet intensified and we can not make hasty decision,” he said.
Chief of Justice Party Ilyas Ismayilov said the reports on uniting with ADP are not true.
“But we are ready to cooperate with all opposition parties and do our best for it,” he said. /APA/
