Serdar Jalaloglu sues Akif Shahbazov and Aydin Guliyev

Chief of the Organizing Committee for 9th Congress of Azerbaijan Democratic Party Serdar Jalaloglu has appealed to the Justice Minister Fikret Mammedov today, ADP press service told APA.
The appeal notes that according to the party rules, General Assembly creates Organizing Committee 3 months before the Congress starts, and all organizations but the Central Control Inspection Commission are resolved and all authorities are given to the OC. Though the OC was created by the General Assembly on January-27 meeting, a group is preparing to hold meeting on February 18 at the initiative of Akif Shahbazov and Aydin Guliyev. Basing on the 10th item and 2 article of 12th item of the law on Political parties, Serdar Jalaloglu asked the minister to take relevant measures to prevent calling assembly by unauthorized persons and their speaking on behalf of ADP.
Serdar Jalaloglu has also appealed to relevant courts on Akif Shahbazov and Aydin Guliyev. The appeal says both people willfully speak on behalf of party. It is demanded to adopt a decision banning their actions which harms public image of the party.
Akif Shahbazov regarded this as an abnormal action. He said that Serdar Jalaloglu tries to prevent the assembly by all means as he fears it.
â€œIf he is afraid, it means he has no support in the party and he knows it. Such steps are taken because of desperation. Everybody will see its results. The court will find out who is fairâ€?, he said. /APA/
