Communist Party wins parliamentary election in Moldova

Chisinau–APA. The ruling Communist Party in Moldova led by President Vladimir Voronin won parliamentary election on April 5, 2009, APA reports quoting RIA-Novosty. The Communist Party won 49.91 % of votes, Liberal Party – 12.91 %, Liberal-Democratic Party – 12.23 %, the bloc of “Our Moldova†– 9.88%. Other 13 political parties running for the parliament couldn’t reach the six-percent barrier. The communists will have 62-63 mandates, two third of the 101-seat parliament.
