Georgia is likely to participate in 76 contracts of CIS

Baku. Lachin Sultanova â€“APA. CIS Executive Committeeâ€™s expert group discussed Georgiaâ€™s participation in international contracts and decisions of CIS bodies, Press Service of CIS Executive Committee told APA that Georgia signed 598 contracts from 1.317 before withdrawal of CIS. Georgia signed 112 international agreements during the meetings of Heads of States. CIS member country can be participant of 36 contracts and other 76 contracts can be applicable to non-member country. All decisions will not be applicable to Georgia because of its withdrawal from the organization on August 18, 2009. Moreover, experts could not pass a decision on participation of Georgia in the contracts to be signed by non-member countries. Therefore, CIS member countries will be appealed on the issue. The experts considered that there was not impediment on Georgiaâ€™s participation in aboveâ€“mentioned contracts. The next meeting of experts will be held on June 3-4.
