Mobile phones banned in Tajik schools

Dushanbe–APA. Lower House of the Tajikistan’s parliament passed a law banning mobile phones at schools. Not only the schoolchildren and students, but also professors will not use the mobile phones inside the schools, APA reports. Heavy fine will be imposed for violation of this law. Members of the parliament said the law was adopted for increasing the education quality. There were some parliamentarians protested the law. MP Yusif Ahmedov said he controlled his children’s behavior only through the mobile phone. “It is necessary to establish special phone lines at schools that parents could contact their children”.
