Police breaks up rally in Tbilisi

Tbilisi–APA. Georgian police broke up a rally in Tbilisi organized by the youth movement of “November 7”, APA quotes Georgia News agency. 300 pro-opposition protesters attempted to blockade traffic in Rustaveli Avenue, which forced police to interfere in the situation. The protesters demanded punishment of those, who killed Georgian officer Roin Shavadze, and resignation of interior minister Vano Merabishvili. The protesters said that Shavadze was killed by the Special Forces for his negative reaction to the activity of the authorities during the August events. Intelligence officer of the Senak military brigade Roin Shavadze was killed in Batumi on August 16. According to the media reports, 20 armed people visited Shavadze after hi returning from the zone of conflict and took him away. Shavadze’s body was found in that evening. He was tortured and shot dead.
