Bucharest – APA. Romanian Foreign Ministry rejected the accusations on attempting to stage coup d’etat in Moldova. APA reports that the related statement has been posted on the official website of Romanian Foreign Ministry. President of Moldova Vladimir Voronin accused Romania of stirring up unrest. He recalled Moldova’s ambassador to Romania, declared Romanian ambassador persona non grata and issued an order to apply visa regime between the two countries.
Protesters’ holding flag of Romania is shown as evidence that Romania stirred up the unrest in Moldova.
Witnesses say the protesters attacking the government buildings demanded unification of Moldova with Romania.
