Chisinau–APA. Moldovan President Vladimir Voronin blamed neighboring Romania for unrests in his country. “Romanian ambassador to Moldova Fillip Teodorescu was declared “persona non grata” and we started visa regime on borders”, said Voronin in his meeting with the representatives of public community, APA reports. Voronin called the recent events in Moldova as a coup and said initiators of the unrests have already left the country. The president said rioters would be identified and punished. Moldova recalled its ambassador to Romania Lidia Gutu. Moldovan citizen have demanded uniting with Romania since early 1990s. They think that Moldova will automatically join the European Union after merging with Romania. EU is not interested in this union because of hard socio-economic situation in Moldova and Transdniestrian conflict as well.
