Police takes control over the government buildings in Moldova

Chisinau –APA. Moldovan police took control over the government buildings in Chisinau. 10 people were arrested during the protest action in front of the parliament, APA reports. The total number of the arrested people was not reported. According to Interfax, additional police forces were deployed in the central part of Chisinau last night, for the strengthening of guards of presidential administration, parliament, Central Election Commission, ministries of internal and foreign affairs, Justice Ministry and the National Public Television. Local media said the government’s emergency meeting was continued until the morning. Broadcasting of Romanian cable televisions, which were airing live programs from the protest actions, was banned in Moldova on Tuesday. In his address to nation, President Vladimir Voronin called the opposition action as a coup d’etat and accused his rivals in the unrests.
