In European stock markets, FTSE 100 index dropped 1.72% to 6,773.04 points, French CAC-40 slipped 0.98% to 5,033.64, and Germany’s DAX slid 0.99% to 11,966.17.
In Asian stock markets, Nikkei 225 index shed 0.92% to 19,030.50 points, Hang Seng went up 0.65% to 25,061.64, Shanghai advanced 1.39% to 3,799.85.
At the latest COMEX auctions, gold price advanced $4.60 to $1,187.80 an ounce, and silver price grew $0.09 to $16.68.
