In European stock markets, FTSE 100 index went up 0.76% to 6,907.17 points, French CAC-40 soared 1.22% to 5,095.47, while Germany’s DAX went up 1.54% to 12,050.74.
In Asian stock markets, Nikkei 225 index surged 0.65% to 19,411.40 points, Hang Seng advanced 1.51% to 24,855.12, Shanghai grew 2.59% to 3,786.57.
At the latest COMEX auctions, gold price fell $11.40 to $1,189.30 an ounce, and silver price shed $0.30 to $16.77.
